General / Chiropractic:
How long will my first visit take?
Your first visit will take approximately 60 minutes and will be a comprehensive evaluation to get to the root cause of your health concerns.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your driver’s license and any insurance cards you have. You are welcome to bring copies of recent x-rays, MRIs, CT scans, or other imaging of your spine that you believe would help our team understand your health concerns better.
Do you accept insurance?
Coverage varies person to person, and it's essential to check with your insurance provider. We can assist you in understanding your coverage and do a benefits check at your first visit in order to provide you with the necessary documentation for reimbursement.
When will I get my first adjustment?
You will be able to get adjusted at your second visit after your report with one of the doctors. To see is to know, and to not to see is to guess and we don’t guess with your health.
How often should I schedule chiropractic visits for optimal results?
The frequency of chiropractic visits depends on your individual health goals and the nature of your condition. During your consultation, our practitioners will discuss a personalized treatment plan, including the recommended frequency of visits.
How much do adjustments cost?
We have differing price points for each of our services. Our doctors will review the financial details within you at your second visit.
How is Radius different?
We provide neurologically-based chiropractic care focused on balancing your nervous system through specific chiropractic adjustments. When interference is removed from your nervous system your body will become more adaptable to life’s stresses! We take the time to analyze what your body and nervous system needs to heal! Our doctors use Torque Release Technique, as well as a variety of other adjustment methods, and your scans and x-rays to create a customized plan for care.
Which doctor will I see?
Dr. Dan and Dr. Sarah rotate between all of our practice members in order to provide you the most comprehensive care. Two sets of eyes are better than one!
Will I need x-rays?
We do require recent spinal x-rays for adults and most adolescents. To see is to know, and to not to see is to guess and we never want to guess about your health! We will not take x-rays for anyone who is pregnant or has extenuating health conditions or concerns.
Who should I bring with me?
You are welcome and encouraged to bring your spouse/partner with you to your first two visits. If you have children and need to bring them with you, they are welcome as well! Radius is always a family-friendly environment.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24-hour cancellation or rescheduling policy for your first two visits since these visits take longer and require a 1 on 1 consultation with a team member. Not showing up to those types of appointments with prior communication or last-minute rescheduling will result in being charged a fee. Rescheduling your adjustment appointments can easily be done at any time, however!
I’ve never been to a chiropractor before, what should I expect?
No worries! Here at Radius, we take the time to make you feel at home and explain our process and principles at your first visit. A trained team member will walk you through our day one experience which consists of a diagnostics process and education on how adjustments improve the health of your entire body. We will also set up a second visit to review your findings from your first visit.
Can I combine different services in one visit?
Absolutely! We understand that each individual's wellness journey is unique. Our practitioners will create a customized treatment plan that may include a combination of services to address your specific health goals.
Pregnancy:
Is it safe to get adjusted during pregnancy?
Absolutely! Both Dr. Dan and Dr. Sarah have received extensive training and are both certified in the Webster Technique, a specific adjusting technique for pregnancy. This technique provides a growing baby with the most ideal birthing environment. The Webster Technique helps balance the pelvis and decrease stress on the uterus and surrounding ligaments.
Decompression:
Is Decompression Therapy painful?
Not at all! Most practice members describe decompression as gentle stretching for their low back.
What is Spinal Decompression Therapy?
Spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical treatment aimed at relieving pressure on the spine, often used to address conditions such as herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, and chronic back or neck pain. Treatment typically involves a series of sessions using specialized equipment that gently stretches and decompresses the spine.
How does Spinal Decompression work?
Spinal Decompression Therapy works by using a specific combination of force of pull, angle in degree of pull and varying time to create a negative pressure inside the disc within the spinal cord. This reversal of pressure creates a vacuum inside the disc that draws in building discs and extruded disc material back into place, taking pressure off pinched or irritated nerves.
PEMF Therapy:
What is High Energy Inductive Therapy (HEIT)?
The HEIT is a non-invasive therapeutic healing modality. The device produces a magnetic field that interacts with the muscles, cells, tissues, and organs of the human body. By muscle stimulation the Em Field is indicated for rehabilitative purposes.
How is HEIT therapy administered?
You will sit or lay on a table while the HEIT machine produces a strong pulsed electromagnetic field over the area of concern
I just had surgery, is HEIT therapy safe for me?
Absolutely! In fact, in most post surgical cases HEIT Therapy has been proven to be one of the most beneficial treatments to speed up recovery and healing.
